Meaning (Love God)
Hunter Luck paints the love of God by displaying the most powerful form of love that humans can receive while alive, and that is the bond between a mother and her son. Using grayscale and metallic gold, he paints the statue of Mary and Jesus- a love that will never dim.

Our God is the lion
The Lion of Judah
He's roaring with power
And fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before Him
Our God is the lamb
The lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world
His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the lion and the lamb
Every knee will bow before Him
The Lamb
Hunter Luck was inspired by his trip to the Vatican Museum. He came home and painted this beautiful crucifixion contrasting the dark and foreboding art he saw. The use of blues and white flowers demonstrates that even such a dark sacrifice has beauty and love behind it.

To God: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” To the “good thief”: “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” To Mary, his mother: “Woman, behold your son”... and to John: “Behold your mother.” To God, his Father: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Sea of Galilee
Bring the scripture to life; Hunter Luck paints the powerful story of Jesus walking on water through the use of oils. He showcases the intense tale of trust with dark rich browns and orange sunset.

29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
Starfire
An abstract modern solar flair. Inspired by the process of refraction (The bending of a ray of light also occurs when the ray comes out of glass or water and passes into air.) With the use of metallic acrylic paint, Hunter Luck bring forth a rich, royal, and robust elution of light.

Shari Your Love
SHARI YOUR LOVE, was painted on shards of paper and glued together on a canvas to highlight the fragmented soul of humanity. Jesus, our Lord, and savior, is painted on the parchment for he completes us, he unites us, he brings us together, and he saves us.

After the death of a dear family friend, from stage four lung cancer, Hunter named this piece in her memory, for her love and support were angelic in his life. May she rest in green meadows with our Lord. Amen.
Eye of God
Seraphim, the angels that ponder the readers of the bible. Hunter Luck illustrates the mysterious six winged angels through the use of oil.

Isaiah 6:2
Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Charity
Hunter Luck takes the leap with this painting, praying hands-on bible paper. Highlighting every quote about charity (love), he adheres to a canvas and showcases the beauty and power of prayer.

1 Corinthians Chapter 13
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
My Love
Hunter Luck believes that a mother's love for her child is a close resemblance to God's love. He embodies that connection through Mother Mary and Jesus on bible paper.
18 in by 24 in (Acrylic)
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen. Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Sacred Heart
Hunter Luck depicts the renowned Sacred Heart using his torn Bible paper style. Using bright reds, oranges, and yellows, he showcases the bleeding heart on fire and draws the viewer into the painting.
24 in by 18 in (Acrylic)
The sacred heart is one of the most revered symbols in Roman Catholicism, and it specifically represents Christ's love for mankind through his sacrifice on the cross for human sin. Christ's suffering is portrayed in the sacred heart with a knife going through it and a crown of thorns surrounding it.
Alpha & Omega
Peering into the background of this painting, Hunter Luck shows the battle of Good vs. Evil. Gold reflecting the forces of light, and silver embodying the powers of darkness. The white line represents humanity and how these two forces clash over us. The Alpha and Omega signs symbolize God and how he is protecting, watching, and always there for us. He is our savior and defends us from the energies of the universe.

“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.”

real love is …
turning the other cheek …
walking another mile …
giving even though it hurts …
giving when no one is watching …
forgiving again and again … and again … and again …
praying for those who persecute you …
blessing those who curse you …
loving your enemies …
doing what Jesus would do …
dying while we were sinners!
